Strap into a rust-bucket mining rig and point the drill straight down. DEEPCORE DRILLER is a retro arcade mining game in the classic Motherload mold: dig through five layers of strata, haul up eleven kinds of ore, sell into a mineral market that shifts every morning, and pour every credit back into your machine. The Consortium pays $1,000,000 to the first pilot who reaches THE CORE — 1,016 meters down, past the magma pockets, the gas blowouts, and the heat that cooks unshielded hulls alive.

Every dive is a gamble you plan yourself. Fuel burns constantly — thrusting, driving, drilling, even idling — and running dry underground means losing the rig, 30% of your credits, and everything in the cargo bay. Minerals get exponentially more valuable with depth, so the question is always the same: one more tile, or turn back while you still can? Your headlamp carves a flickering cone out of total darkness, the geo-scanner pings deposits glowing through rock, and plain dirt sometimes hides fossils, geodes, and ancient relics for pilots paying attention.

Between dives, spend your haul across a 7-system upgrade tree with 8 tiers each: drill heads from Rusty Iron Bit to Quantum Phase Bore, fuel tanks, cargo bays, hull plating, engines, cooling systems, and scanners — 56 upgrades that visibly change your rig. Buy dynamite and C4 for emergencies. Save up for the teleport beacon and skip the long climb home.

Runs in your browser. Keyboard on desktop, virtual joystick + touch controls on mobile. Procedural pixel art, synthesized engine and drill audio, day/night cycle, autosaves. Dig greedy. Die less.
